Finishing Up

Reassembly

The Jaguar is now ready to be put back together; starting with wiring, heater core, fuel and brake systems. The drivetrain is ceramic coated and reassembled before being mounted back under the chassis.

Bodywork & Paint

The drivetrain is dropped out from the body and then mounted on a rotisserie. Finishing touches are done on the metalwork before starting primer, epoxy, and bodywork. Once final preparations were finished, the paint was done.

Finish Fabrication

We returned to the rear to add a rollbar behind the seats before proceeding to the interior. The inside of the doors are fabricated along with a custom center console and dashboard. The gage cluster is centered to compensate for the tight fit. Moving under the hood, a custom intake is integrated with the grill. The rest of the engine bay gets fitted by hand built aluminum covers. We finished off the body by cutting down on the bumpers, making them more streamline.

Front Fabrication

The original hood is separated from the fenders and lower grill; it is then split down the middle and wedged. The inner wheel wells, headlights, rad support, and structural support are built around the hood that’s jigged in place. Once thats done custom fenders are built to fit to the wheelbase. The ground effects are also carried forward to the wheel wells. A custom windshield frame is made to fit a 1973 windshield that is laid back 6”.

Rear Body Fabrication

The inner wheel wells are built to form around the rear tires. This added structure helps to support the dual fuel tanks mounted behind seats. Custom rockers run along the length of the door jam to the wheel wells. The quarter panels and rear end are hand built to accommodate our 12” increase to our wheelbase. They are built, formed, and fitted section by section; until they meet together in the rear end around the trunk.

Custom head fairings designed with rollover protection in mind. Bumpers shaved to resemble moldings

Starting Out

Starting with the stock 1969 Jaguar, the body is disassembled and sliced into sections. The front and rear body sections are jigged and then unitized to the chassis. This gives us a framework to start our custom steel body.
